The British Gliding Association Shop was developed many years ago. It served its purpose very well but with more and more people buying online, it was time to go a step further. The software used was the free, but powerful and highly flexible, osCommerce. This allowed the addition of product images to the shop in order to help sell the products.

More security was added - all payments now work through a third party payment provider, Protx, which costs a maximum of just 20p per transaction and the BGA no longer have to tap in all the credit card details.

The new shop also has stock and order tracking facilities, as well as financial reporting.
